Part of the syndrome I have is an extreme sensitivity to light, called
Photophobia. The glare that comes from the computer, or a bright
window can make me tiered fast and make me feel uncomfortable.
Outdoor activities of any kind are harder when the sun is shining.
However, when the sun is set, in a dark room or at night I feel the most secure and comfortable. Dark backgrounds are so much softer for me to look at. Therefore, here I tried to see how a portrait feels to me in the dark.
Most of my paintings are of women. And this time I wanted to discover the male figure. In this image I see the perfect features of a man’s face.
